The
Project:

The Challenge: Arts education is one of the most proven tools for developing the whole child and strengthening communities, and one of the first things cut when budgets get tight. MUSIC Inc. (Music in Urban Schools Inspiring Change) exists to close that gap, and they needed a brand film that could serve their fundraising efforts long-term. The organization runs on limited funds, so the film had to work hard and stay relevant well beyond its first use.

Our Approach: We traveled to Kipp Ascend Primary School to see the program in action, led by MUSIC Inc. founder Sarah Dupuis. Rather than scripting a traditional fundraising video, we let audio carry the story. Interview voices play over documentary footage with no on-screen talking heads, giving the film a timeless quality where context and cinematography do the work. The edit builds slowly, from the weight of the need to the joy of what music education actually does for these kids and families.

The Result: A film that works for fundraising without feeling like a fundraising film. Built to outlast any single campaign and keep making the case for arts education in underserved communities.
