The
Project:
The Challenge: UIC needed a higher education fundraising film that could show the real and lasting impact of the university on the people it serves and the world beyond its campus. The goal of the “Ignite” campaign was $750 million so these stories had to land.
Our Approach: We built the film around five people whose lives intersected with UIC in completely different ways. Each story was unique but they all pointed back to the same place. We shot it documentary-style. Handheld cameras, dramatic slow motion, moving portraits, natural interviews. Intimate but cinematic was always the goal.
The Result: The Ignite Campaign raised nearly $774 million, surpassing its $750 million goal ahead of schedule. Good work gets great results.
