Earthmine Acquisition
HERE Maps
Brand Film, Corporate Video, Documentary, Technology

The Project:
The Challenge:When HERE Maps acquired Earthmine, a 3D mapping technology company, they needed a film that explained why this acquisition would strengthen the company's overall position in the GPS tech space. The video had to work for multiple audiences: Earthmine employees navigating the acquisition, HERE Maps stakeholders, and the broader tech industry.
Our Approach:We focused on the human story behind the technology. Earthmine's Berkeley, CA culture was a big factor in how they approached their business, so it was important to show that while also proving their competency. To get this just right, the camera style had to feel fluid yet high-end, so we used a combination of sweeping jib shots with more intimate handheld work.
The edit balanced founder interviews with footage of the technology in action, and some key culture moments to create a narrative that showcased Earthmine's "little engine that could" story and why it was a good fit for HERE.
The Result:A brand film that made a complex acquisition story feel human and exciting. By focusing on Earthmine's culture, founders, and the technology itself, we helped HERE Maps communicate the strategic value of the acquisition without getting bogged down in corporate jargon. The film served its purpose both internally and externally for HERE and Earthmine employees and shareholders.
